Kayise Ngqula is ready to make her mark as the new presenter of Our Perfect Wedding.

SHE didn’t think she had a chance when she arrived at the audition. Despite arriving a whole hour early, there was already a long line of wannabes who’d been queuing since before sunrise.
“I’d never seen so many people gathered for one position,” Kayise Ngqula says. “The thought crossed my mind to get back into my car and go home.
“But I said to myself, ‘You know what, you left home for a reason and you want this’. So I waited in line for 12 hours!”
And it’s a good thing she did. Kayise had what it takes to rise above the hundreds of hopefuls and emerge as the new presenter of a show that has practically become an institution in South Africa.
The stunning 26-year-old will take over from Thembisa Mdoda on Our Perfect Wedding (OPW) this month and she has big shoes to fill – Thembisa was beloved by fans across the country.
But Kayise is up for the challenge. “Thembisa and the other presenters did an incredible job,” she tells us. “They made the show their own.
