No animal has served us more thoroughly — as athlete, transport and soldier - or more reliably than the horse and Wincanton’s race day on 3 April will celebrate these magnificent creatures.

Horses evoke such deep emotions and they fire our imaginations with their attitude and character. They can raise the roof with their valiant efforts in races and their grace, the way they move, their shining coats and the way they smell can lead us to literally fall in love with them.
