10 Simple Tips to Make Your Iphone Battery Last All Day

We don't all have a new iPhone 13 with giant batteries. Many of us are using older iPhones with aging batteries that always seem to be in the red. Fortunately, there are several ways to save battery life, built right into iOS, that take mere seconds to try out. Here are 10 simple ways to help your iPhone last as long as possible.

1. GO AHEAD AND REBOOT

The surefire Mac fix works for your iPhone too. Restarting your iPhone periodically can give your battery life a lift by killing background processes that could be draining precious juice. All you need to do is press and hold the volume up button on the left and the power button on the right (or hold the power button if your iPhone has a home button), which will bring up the power off slider. Then just hold down the power button to restart it.

2. TURN ON LOW POWER MODE

When your battery is running on fumes, Low Power Mode pauses background activities that drain it, such as email fetch, background app refresh, and automatic downloads, shutting off once the phone is charged to at least 80 percent. There are two ways to engage Low Power Mode: You can go to Settings and Battery to make the switch, or you can add it to your Control Center (via Settings → Control Center Customize Controls). You'll also be automatically asked if you want to go into Low Power Mode when your battery hits 20% and then 10% power.
