THE ACTRESS WINS ANOTHER LEGAL VICTORY IN HER YEARS-LONG FIGHT OVER FROZEN EMBRYOS

Sofía Vergara's battle: IT'S OVER!

Sofía Vergara has been able to breathe a sigh of relief, after yet another win for the actress in her legal battle with former fiancé Nick Loeb over custody rights to the former couple’s frozen embryos. The 48-year-old was granted a permanent injunction by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on March 2 that prevents Loeb, 45, from bringing the embryos to term without Vergara’s “explicit written consent”.

The actress’ recent victory could finally put an end to their bruising legal war after six long years. Loeb first filed a lawsuit against Vergara back in 2015 in a bid to bring to term two female embryos that they had created and planned to use with a surrogate. The pair had previously signed a contract at the ART Reproductive Centre in Beverly Hills when they created the embryos through in-vitro fertilisation in 2013, stating that neither could use them without each other’s consent.

Vergara and Loeb split in 2014 after four years of dating. The actress soon after began a relationship with her now-husband Joe Manganiello, 44 – seemingly sparking her ex’s quest to gain control of their frozen embryos.
