Jack has ordered up his own DNA test to determine, once and for all, if he’s a biological member of the Abbott family. “Obviously, we’ve been on Jack’s journey for many years, and we know how hugely important being John Abbott’s son is to him,” points out Executive Producer/Head Writer Mal Young. “That relationship is what makes him such an interesting character. Fathers and sons always fascinate me because we can all identify with that bond to your father and following in his footsteps. So, that’s why I think this story is getting such a reaction from the viewers because that’s how big this is.”
