Former Transnet and Eskom CEO Brian Molefe claims that Treasury’s investigations team probing potential irregularities at the two state-owned enterprises is not following correct procedures, reports Business Day.

The newspaper quoted him as saying that he would be able to “explain what actually happened” if he had been given enough time to study documents pertaining to the investigation. He was given a draft report on 27 July, and was expected to respond by 13 August, the paper stated.
Impala Platinum CEO Nico Muller on government and labour unions’ response to the company’s restructuring plan. The restructuring could result in up to 13 000 job losses at its Rustenburg shafts. Muller said the company was currently losing 200 jobs per month through natural attrition and was hoping that jobs could be saved by relocating employees to shafts and mines where the company was growing.
