Strong Recovery In Agri Machinery Sales
Farmer's Weekly
|November 27, 2020
Following two years of contraction, the farming sector has rebounded strongly during the first six months of 2020, resulting in an increase in the sales of tractors and combine harvesters.
Recent economic indicators have confirmed that for most industries, the first half of 2020 led to a sharp contraction in output and sales due, in large part, to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and related lockdown. The one notable exception is the agriculture sector, which managed to post positive GDP results for the first and second quarters of the year, a trend that has been reflected in the increase in tractor and combine harvester sales.
