The capital of the UAE and the second-most populous city in the country, Abu Dhabi boasts a dynamic landscape that appeals to all kinds of travellers. Abu Dhabi's advanced medical and digital ecosystems are ensuring the emirate's rapid economic recovery from the pandemic-induced decline, according to a new Covid-19 Response a Report, produced by Oxford Business Group and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company. The report highlights the emirate's effective and innovative health care response to the pandemic, which included a swift scaling up in testing capacity, the introduction of the Alhosn app, as well as the UAE's Covid-19 vaccination rollout. Adding to this, the digital health care sector in Abu Dhabi, including telemedicine and online health solutions are aiding the positive post-pandemic growth of the city. The retail, tourism, aviation and hospitality sectors were among the most affected due to the pandemic as the city was forced to close malls and public establishments for months to contain the spread of the virus. However, since establishments have re-opened Abu Dhabi's tourism has skyrocketed and the city is all set to host major events like the Indian Film Academy Awards and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
