As BAZAAR BRIDE chronicles his meteoric rise in the industry, Arjun Kapoor basks in the glory of being the star of the moment.
THERE IS A CONSTANT NEED to reinvent and break out of pre-determined moulds when you’re part of one of the biggest film industries in the world. And actor Arjun Kapoor’s very honest admission to this fact is that he is still trying to figure out his own potential by not going down the conventional route or playing to the gallery. Affable, ambitious but not very competitive, and easy to work with, Kapoor is slated to star with his uncle, legendary actor Anil Kapoor, in a film for the very first time. In a tell-all interview with BAZAAR BRIDE, Kapoor talks family, movies, love, and the ever so-loyal female fanbase he has accumulated over a short span of time.
WHY BOLLYWOOD?
I’ve always wanted to be a part of cinema. I grew up wanting to watch good movies and to be a part of movies. That is how I ended up assisting in a couple of films. I did a bit of production and, in the process, became a part of the industry at a very early age. That kind of started this fire within. Then, of course, I met Salman bhai who greatly encouraged me and made me realise that acting was what I wanted. I worked towards losing weight, I attended classes and the rest, as they say, is history.
