THE ORIGINAL OCTAVIA is a legendary car in India, simply for the fact that it created the affordable luxury segment, a segment that never existed. Remember there was no Corolla, no Civic; for very long it was only the Octavia that sat above the Honda City – and it had a diesel engine which was also a very big deal. Well, the current generation car still resonates with that ethos of affordable luxury, without compromising on driving pleasure. A couple of years in to its life cycle, Skoda has dropped an update, a tweak to the styling and added some bling on the inside and out.
