THE FORD MUSTANG Mach-E GT is, quite simply, by far the fastest-accelerating Ford that money can buy you in this country.

As the range-topping ‘halo’ version of the fully electric Mach-E, it gets a sportier look than the rest of the line-up, along with upgraded Brembo brakes, tweaked suspension and – perhaps most importantly – loads more power.

Indeed, with 480bhp and 634lb ft of torque, this 2.2-tonne electric SUV will see off the 0-62mph sprint in just 3.7sec. And despite that pace, its big battery (with a usable capacity of 88kWh) can officially keep powering it along for 310 miles on a single charge.
