Art On Peanuts

“I started drawing faces on peanut shells with a Sharpie about 5 years ago. They were brutal caricatures of me and my co-workers. It took a while to sink in that it was a pretty fresh concept, but when it did I was off to the races. It was so much fun to have a new hobby! I made about 20 in a month. Added arms, legs, paint, hair, etc… Each one was more elaborate than the last.

The first band I made was the Ramones, my favourite. I created a video about the process and it went viral across social media. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails contacted me to make his whole family. I was on Good Morning America, MTV, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, NBC, Food Network, even unexpected places like Reader’s Digest and National Geographic.
