Mondi Overcomes Hurdles To Post Strong Half-Year Results
Farmer's Weekly
|Farmer's Weekly August 2019
The Mondi Group has shown overall positive financial results for the half-year ended 30 June, despite facing a number of challenges, including an international corporate simplification process, and a decline in revenue from its South African operations.
-

Mondi recently completed the simplification of its duallisted company structure, comprising Mondi PLC and Mondi Ltd, into a single holding company structure, Mondi PLC. The new Mondi PLC shares commenced trading on 29 July.
Mondi Group CEO, Peter Oswald, said in a statement that during the period under review, the company benefitted from higher average selling prices, contributions from capital investments and acquisitions, and a higher forestry fairvalue gain, to increase group revenue to €3,77 billion (about R63,65 billion) from €3,72 billion (R62,91 billion) in the corresponding period in 2018.
