Gog' Flo Finds Herself A Man

IVY Nkutha continues to portray the strong Gog' Flo on Generations – The Legacy, who many people love. Gog' Flo is soft spoken and very patient and is often the voice of reason for her grandchildren. In a twist of events, viewers saw Gog' Flo getting a love interest, which is ruffling a few feathers in her family.

ADDING A LITTLE SPICE

Viewers were recently shocked that Gog' Flo had a love interest, with some thinking that it is inappropriate for someone her age to be dating.

Ivy tells Move! that she was the one who convinced Generations producers to make Gog' Flo's storyline more interesting.

“I found her storyline a bit boring and wanted something that would challenge me as an actress. I came up with the idea of doing something new that will shake up the viewers and make the character the most talked about,” says the former Muvhango actress.

GIVING DATING A GO

Ivy says she found her character very lonely as she is a widow.

“I saw nothing wrong with her getting a boyfriend. I love the character and playing her is amazing. I know some people don't understand why Gog’ Flo is dating. She just didn’t want to be alone anymore,” she says.

She believes that families should allow their grandmothers to date as there is nothing wrong with someone older having a companion.

“I don’t see why it is a problem. I don’t think my children would want me to die alone. They would want to see me happy.
