In our January 2021 issue, we bring you J Young MDK as our main cover; while all people selected to be part of this project are cover-worthy, we chose Jermaine Carter A.k.a J Young MDK because of the change he brings to his industry. Despite discovering his health condition dealing with diabetes, he didn’t allow his condition to affect his overall goals. Jermaine dropped two albums, two music genres, on the same day, and he has dropped three albums within the last three months. Jermaine understood what he was dealing with, took the necessary precautions, and followed all medical advice to the point where he can go back to everyday life within his health condition. He took it a step further by becoming an advocate for a diabetes organization to bring awareness. We get you Shavonne Cantrell’s story as an entrepreneur teaching her daughters how to own their businesses. Eleven DMU makes a stop as well to tell us about his new project demonstrating his musical talent. Deonna Nichole and Shaun Stephens bring us their modeling/acting testimonies. Scott Howard, via Rachel Dares PR, enlightened us with his purpose to heal people through music frequencies. Last but not least, artist Mark Celentano via our creative director Parris Harris made a quick stop for a brief interview with Boss Mann magazine.
