After a long summer, we are looking forward for a good monsoon this year as it was unbearably hot and humid in Pune. This summer we hope the rain gods are kind and they shower and cool down and turn the terrain green. Usually last week of May there are pre monsoon showers in Pune. However this year, owing to the global warming the pre monsoon showers were delayed.
On a hot summer afternoon, Mayank forwarded me an article written by Hemang Desai on the “Lost Art of Water Architecture” who is a good friend of mine from Ahemdabad since 80’s. I have fond memories of spending and chatting with him till wee hours.
Later on he dropped in at Pune and it seems he was Christian by my wife’s mathematics professor, such a small world but somehow we lost touch with each other and suddenly this article brought back such fond memories of Hemang.
This article that I am carrying in Vastutimes June issue took me on a nostalgia and I dedicate this issue to the Lost Art Of Water Architecture.
We are also carrying an article by Mayank Joshi called “Droplets from the Nectar of Vastu”.
Plus a article on Sir Patrick Geddes in India which makes amazing reading an interesting information.
