The beginning of every Fairy tale is a long winding road paved with turbulence and encounters, the celebrated end is anything but a walk in the park. If there is one word which encapsulates my feeling in these past two years of our journey it would be Challenging. Each issue our team and I scour for ideas, possibilities and new boundaries. It is all exhilarating, inspiring and more often than not a search for light bulb moments. Our 2nd Anniversary issue is exactly that, a fairy tale journey. We have gone through it all the poisoned apple, the evil Step Mother, the Huntsmen and even down the Rabbit hole, through it all Mehendi is now 2, emerged just like a fairy tale Princess.
We have the Spunky and gorgeous new star Priya Anand the Princess Apparent as our cover girl and gracing our pages as the effervescent fairy tale princess. From the days I have known her as a young girl who moved from the US to pursue a career in acting, Priya herself has emerged as the rising Star of not just kollywood but now flutters through in Bollywoods Tinsel town. She held fort in the successful English Vinglish alongside the lgendary Sridevi. Breezed through Rangrezz and now awaits her new release in Farhan Akhtar’s production FUKREY.
Mehendi talks to Bollywoods Darling stylist turned designer Manish Malhotra in an all exclusive interview. The designer who stars swear by to make them look Picture Perfect talks to us on bridal couture and the latest trends in Bridal wear. Conversing with Ash kumar the International Mehendi artist who also holds the Guiness world record was quite a revelation in the in Mehendi art.
