Hello & Welcome to the May-June 2022 issue of India Outbound magazine, which is our first issue entirely focused on the GCC countries and how it is the GCC that is driving the global tourism back on track. Quite appropriately, the issue is also the one present at ATM in Dubai, which is the major occasion when travel trade is meeting in full strength since the Covid-19 pandemic. Not only has Dubai recently completed the world’s largest event in the shape of Expo2020, but the action in tourism industry is likely to remain focused in the GCC countries for almost the entire year, with numerous big-ticket items lined up and India Outbound is glad to bring you in-depth reports on the various parts of GCC and the key role being played by them in boosting tourism industry. We also report on the ambitious line up of tourism in Saudi Arabia, which has committed an eye-popping USD 1 trillion by 2030.
