Cats have been domesticated for nearly 10,000 years. The timeline reminds me of Egypt; cats were praised as much as gods there... and why shouldn’t they be? Probably because cats think they really do: people who don't like cats tend to avoid looking at them, and cats interpret averted eyes as unthreatening, even inviting. Mysterious little ones!
