The Dazzling December

With foreign investors pumping in a whopping $8.4 billion (Rs 55,641.6 crore), 2015 has been a landmark year for the Indian startup ecosystem. The year started off on a high note with Flipkart, Ola, Snapdeal, Quikr, Zomato and Paytm crossing $1 billion in valuation. But, the pace slowed down later with many companies becoming increasingly reliant on investor money to grow business leading to layoffs. Interestingly, the year also saw industry titans like Ratan Tata, NR Narayana Murthy and global investors like Alibaba, Softbank pursuing ways to capture the market.
To end the year in style, we have an interesting startup--addressing one of the most important issues in the country--AglaSem. A single stop guidance portal--the initiative helps students prepare for the semester exam with access to thousands of online study material.
