The tales in this collection are taken from varied sources including The Hitopadesha, The Mahabharata, and the Persian version of The Panchatantra. The humorous story of The Tiger and the Woodpecker is taken from the Keyurabahu Charitramu written by the Telugu poet Manchana. Children will have something good to learn from all the stories included in the book. The book is packed with beautiful and colorful illustrations, which will make it an interesting read for children.
