We here at Distorted Sound like to champion bands that are in for the long haul. Bands that spend years crafting their sound and progress to game changers in our world. In terms of symphonic metal, the rise of DELAIN has been nothing short of admirable, now celebrating their ten year anniversary, DELAIN have made a lasting impact to their genre and metal overall. So join us as we reflect on the first ten years of DELAIN with Charlotte Wessels.

Also! Keeping in touch with the long haul, we bask in the new record from long-time stoner outfit MOS GENERATOR and we catch up with one of death metal's most notorious groups, CATTLE DECAPITATION, where Travis Ryan gives us an insight into one of death metal's hottest properties. However, it's important to note that we like to keep an eye on the next big thing and ORACLES may just be that, the death metal supergroup have made some serious waves with their debut record and guitarist Steve Miller reveals all and what ORACLES strive to achieve!

So here is to the old and the new, as without a doubt both give the fundamental ingredients into what makes the metal genres so unique and appealing. It is inspiring and iconic to see the influences that the elder bands are having on the newer and vice versa. It's keeping the scene alive and fresh, consequently making breakthroughs and giving the best of the best.
