The Game Changer
Outlook Business|March 03 2017

As the builder of the first luxury apartments in Gurugram, Amarjit Bakshi is a pioneer whose visionary ideas have transformed the way people live in his über-luxe Central Park properties. We discover why for him, the customer always comes first.

The Game Changer

If you build it, they will come. And build he did. As IIT-educated civil engineer-turned-real estate mogul Amarjit Bakshi founded the first Central Park luxury real estate project on Gurugram’s tony Golf Course Road in 2004, he set the tone for the luxury apartment boom in Gurugram. He always presumed that “whatever has to be constructed, is to be lived in; it’s my house”. And this is the key philosophy behind Central Park, the real estate arm of the $1 billion empire that also spans hospitality, foundries, automotive, and infrastructure projects. “From day one until today, one thing has remained in common: everything is around the customer,” says Amarjit Bakshi, Founder and Managing Director, Central Park, as we meet him in Central Park Resorts on Sohna Road – 50 acres of verdant landscaping dotted with 18 residential towers, with apartments bearing such evocative names as Beau Villas, Sky Villas, and Belgravia.
