Manjunath C N & Chaithra Maruvala of Studio WhiteScape design a modern minimalist Pondicherry home that adopts the principles of tropical architecture, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor. The Thane residence by Amit N. Phanse and Shivangi Shahane Phanse of ANS Design House embraces the client's culturally-rooted character with a conceptual imprint. The Chennai home translates the essential principles of Vastu into well-articulated volumes, a design of Shiju Pareed, Barun Patro & Sekar Dhandapani of Amar Architecture & Designs. Located in Oakton, Virginia, the home design by Vibha Mehta demonstrates how distances do not matter to execute a mammoth project in the present times. Suneet Paul, in a special essay, talks about contemporary architecture in Vietnam where architects are attempting to project their own vocabulary for modern architecture. Hope you savour this issue!
