The GLITZ Tejomaya Women in Design Awards, held in Kolkata, celebrated the achievements and creative excellence of women architects and designers from across India. The projects featured in this issue reflect a diverse range of ideas, contexts, and design approaches.
From the timeless residential retreat in Pune by Seema Vishal Bamb of Archeespace to Sukanya Dasgupta’s wellness-oriented vertical living project in Dhaka, this issue presents homes designed around comfort and human connection. Ponni M. Concessao’s Telangana State Secretariat reimagines civic architecture through heritage and sustainability, while Sinchal Patel Wadhwa’s residence in Raipur highlights the power of restraint and thoughtful detailing.
Rushvi Kothari’s Ahmedabad residence explores layered living, while Riya Shobhwani’s rooftop office in Raipur redefines workplace design through openness and natural light. We also celebrate Young Achiever 2026, Dhairya Wadhwa, whose emerging work reflects contextual sensitivity and community engagement.
In product design, Shilpa Kabra of The DesignBOX transforms industrial sheet materials into expressive objects of identity and storytelling. Residential projects by Selva Sidiq N, Sanjukta Chakraboty, Sumati Aggarwal, and Kopal Trivedi showcase climate-responsive and contemporary living environments.
Further enriching this collection are projects by Siddhina Sakla, Bhakti Pote, and Ashmi Shah, ranging from nature-inspired residences to luxury retail experiences. Niteesha Shah’s Ahmedabad clinic demonstrates how efficiency and empathy can coexist in healthcare design.
The issue also highlights visual storytelling through Charu Agrawal of Visual दफ़्तर and celebrates craftsmanship through Khushboo Kakkar of BASICS Studio, whose work reflects sustainability, storytelling, and human connection.
