'I'm having A BALL!'

She has endured heartache along the way, but entertainer Jane McDonald is determined to wring every ounce of joy out of life that she can

Singer Jane McDonald is bubbling with excitement right now. She has a new album, a TV travel show and a big tour later this year. But the icing on the cake without doubt is the fact that Jane has just bought a new house by the sea.

I've moved to the seaside, I've done it!' she smiles. 'It's that bucket-list thing. I thought to myself, "What do I really want?" And I've always wanted a house by the sea.

'Sometimes you have to move forward and that's what I've done. I'm always saying to people, "Stop waiting, do it now." And I thought, I should start listening to myself a bit,' she tells Woman's Weekly.

Until now, 62-year-old Jane has always lived in her native West Yorkshire, but she reflects, 'Life throws fantastic things at you. I've never picked a house myself before. It's always been somebody else and they've made good jobs of it, but this is the first one I've chosen. Crazy, isn't it?

'Mum picked the last one, my husband [Jane's ex, Henrik Brixen] picked the one before and I always lived with my mum before that. I've never actually had my own house where I've gone, "it's mine, I can do what I like!"'

She explains, 'It's an adventure and it's beautiful to open my curtains every day and see the sea. I've never been as happy in my life. I'm literally living the dream.' Coincidentally,
