Paramedic Sally has followed in her proud dad's footsteps

It seemed almost destiny that Sally Gould would grow up to become a paramedic like her father, Simon. Her favourite toy was a first aid kit containing a stethoscope and bandages, and some of her most distinct childhood memories are of seeing her dad’s work uniform hanging on the washing line and dropping him at work and sneaking a peek at the ambulances.

And when it came to sharing tales about his days - and nights - at work, Simon didn’t hold back.

“Dad would tell me funny stories over dinner about his work, including the gruesome ones,” Sally tells Woman’s Day. “And with him sharing all his interesting stories, I developed a love for paramedicine.”
