New evidence has threatened the baby killer's chance of freedom

A new investigation into convicted killer Keli Lane's alleged "inappropriate behaviour" has cast doubt on her chance of freedom just weeks before she was due to be eligible for parole.

Lane, 48, had almost completed her 13-and-a-halfyear minimum sentence for killing her newborn daughter Tegan, when prison authorities last month swooped on her workplace and caught her with a mobile phone. She was sent back to Silverwater women's prison while investigations continue.

STRICT CONDITIONS

"Living in a transitional centre is a privilege, underpinned by the good behaviour of the inmate, and their adherence to strict conditions," a spokeswoman for Corrective Services NSW said.
