Getting in shape - what does that even mean? Well, to me it means this: working at achieving a good muscle mass to body fat ratio (that you, personally, are happy with). Plus, well-supported joints, good bone density, a high level of strength (to avoid future injury, improve balance and boost metabolic health) and a good diet to fuel both your activities and a healthy gut (a flourishing microbiome rules our health!).

But it also means working on your mindset. And that is the tough bit. It may mean leaving behind old 'dieting' myths, such as the ones maintaining that only scale weight matters or that cardio is the best exercise for fat loss. Or that carbs are bad and nuts make you 'fat' and other similar nonsense. Truth is, all foods have the power to make us gain weight if we eat too much of them.
