These days, the star, who lives in Herefordshire with his wife, Mindy, and their two daughters, is busy tinkering with vehicles on his latest show, Richard Hammond’s Workshop. Here, Woman asks him to answer our hardest set of questions.

BIO FACTS

Born: 19 December 1969 (aged 53)

Lives: Weston Under Penyard, Herefordshire

1 What do you keep in your wallet?

In my wallet is a selection of currencies from my travels, but never one relevant to the particular country I’m in. I have always carried a Billingham bag. They usually last well between two and 10 years because they can take a hell of a kicking. I’ve got three ready to go. One is my everyday bag that I have my notebook, wallet, mobile, keys, files, reading material and everything in. Another one has my camera kit and the other one has a drawing and painting kit. I take whichever one is appropriate, but I always have one with me.

2 How old were you when you had your first kiss, and what was it like?
