THAT'S the trouble with me and music. Once I start listening to something on my headphones, I tend to go down a bit of a rabbit hole.

Still, there should be plenty to keep everyone happy.

There will be a range of dance music to suit all tastes, informed in no small way by "The Sound Of Music Through The Square Window" playlist that was created during lockdown.

I have had to reassure the pub manager that I won't be doing a full-on Julie Andrews and belting out "Climb Every Mountain".

It's more about using some of the 2020 song choices to shore up the selection.

In previous years, I've done the pub disco with Ding Dong Daddy, a professional musician and record producer who lives in the village.

He generally picks the tasteful music and I provide the cheesy stuff.

The mix has always worked really well, apart from the time I welcomed in the New Year with "The Ketchup Song" by Las Ketchup.

The least said about that the better.
