The once-sparring tennis stars are acing friendship

After more than two decades of being arch rivals on the tennis court, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have stopped lobbing insults at each other and are now besties.
Serena, 43, stunned the crowd recently when she helped induct Maria, 38, into the Tennis Hall of Fame, drawing gasps from fans who couldn't help but recall the pair's hostility, which started when 17-year-old Maria trounced Serena at Wimbledon in 2004.
Serena went on to label Maria "boring" and called her then-boyfriend a "guy with a black heart".
