That's because A Christmas Story's cast members (many of whom reunited for HBO Max's 2022 film A Christmas Story Christmas) have become like real-life relatives to fans of the quirky, irreverent comedy. RALPHIE PARKER

Peter Billingsley had been doing commercials since the age of 3, leading up to his role at 12 years old as the adorable Ralphie Parker. After A Christmas Story, he went on to land small parts on several shows such as Highway to Heaven (1985), Punky Brewster (1985-86) and The Wonder Years (1993).

In 1994, he earned an Emmy nomination for The Writing on the Wall, a CBS Schoolbreak Special about anti-Semitism.
