On the 28th of September, 1989, Sunny Kaushal was born to a Punjabi family living in a suburban chawl in Mumbai. His father, Mr. Sham Kaushal, was an action director in Bollywood while his mother, Mrs. Veena Kaushal, is a homemaker. Sham Kaushal is an acclaimed veteran in the Hindi film industry, having five Filmfare awards under his name for Best Action Director. Sunny initially enrolled at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. But his heart has always lied in the art of acting which led him eventually to drop out of college. He started his acting career doing small roles, theatres and skits before trying his luck in Bollywood.
