It’s award season in the movie industry and bringing together cinematic brilliance under one roof was this year’s Filmfare Awards. Hosted in Bangalore, the event was attended by luminaries from the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada film industry. The coveted Filmfare black lady was awarded to winners in various categories including acting, directing, music and technical talent. It took place on October 9th, 2022 at the International Exhibition Centre. Celebrities from all four south film industries graced the occasion with their presence and entertained the audience with their performances.

A big day of joy for the entire team of Pushpa: The A Rise-part 1 as the movie swept the Best Film Award in Telugu along with Best Actor to Allu Arjun for his excellent performance. Sai Pallavi won two awards that night, for Best Actor-female for Love Story and Shyam Singha Roy.
Best Film -Tamil was awarded to Jai Bhim, a movie about an activist lawyer fighting for the justice of a falsely accused tribal man. Suriya bagged the Best Actor award for Soorarai Pottru and Lijomol jose won the Best Actor-Female for Jai Bhim. Sudha Kongara won Best Director for her exceptional work in Soorarai Pottru.
