MÉLANGE 2025 RECORDS 120 PC RISE IN GLOBAL EXHIBITORS

Mélange 2025, the second edition of a travel trade show held in Mumbai in September, registered a 120 pc growth in exhibitors from around the world, keen to tap Indian outbound travel market. The event also saw a rise in number of buyers, including hosted buyers. The third edition of the show would be held on September 26-27, 2026, say organisers.
With an increase in number of exhibitors as well as buyers, Mélange 2025, the second edition of a travel trade show organised in Mumbai in September, registered an all-round growth compared to the first edition held in 2024.
“The number of exhibitors has grown by 120 pc and the total hosted buyer programme by almost 100 pc since we did not have any last year. So, we have 3,000 buyers, 350 hosted buyers and then obviously the exhibitors,” Pradeep Saboo, Co-Founder of the show, told India Outbound.
The organisers added that the segment of hosted buyers was added based on the feedback from the exhibitors. “The problem with a lot of these exhibitors is that they are not able to go to Tier II and Tier III cities and with the hosted buyer programme, they are actually getting the right audience from the smaller cities as well as we have buyers from all across Maharashtra and Gujarat and we also have buyers coming from Guwahati in Assam,” Saboo said.
The show attracted trade visitors or buyers from all over India and not all were hosted, say the organisers. “We have had excellent response from all segments and geographies. Besides Maharashtra and Gujarat, we have a very good response from Chennai, Kolkata and Kerala and a reasonable chunk from Madhya Pradesh as well. We have people from the north like Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Lucknow. And not all of them are hosted, many have paid to come on their own, but we maintain a check that they have to be B2C,” he added.
“The response at Melange 2025 has been very good because we are now double of where we were last year. We are hoping to repeat this performance again next year,” Sameer Karnani, another Co-Founder of Mélange, told India Outbound on the sidelines of the show.
According to Rajat Bagaria, the third Co-Founder of Mélange, as the show had grown in size in its second edition, the organisers also moved it to a bigger location.

In many ways, the year 2025 has turned out to be Africa's Year, at least on the international tourism market as the continent outpaced every other region of the world in growth in international tourist arrivals for the first half of the year. The growth seems to have continued in the second half, too, and looks certain to continue into the next year as African nations proactively seek to diversify their source markets, with focus on India and China.
