We hit the road for a weekend escape, exploring the best regional Australia has to offer. This month we head to the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

You might recognise the verandah of this iconic South Australian homestead, which was once owned by Channel Nine and home to the fictional McLeod's Daughters. But while the sweeping views and stonework of Kingsford remain untouched, the property has undergone a major glow up since it featured on screen, with a vast glass and steel extension added in 2020. It's here you'll find the in-house restaurant Orleana serving up postcard scenes of kangaroos grazing in nearby paddocks, alongside a seasonal menu of modern Australian flavours made with local, artisanal produce.
