The Bermuda hat, thanks to Sarah Bray-West, is the island's new essential, a thoughtfully nostalgic but utterly right-now continuance of Bermuda's centuries-long tradition of palm leaf hat making.

Bray-West's collection, woven of sea grass and palm leaf and festooned with floral and grosgrain ribbons, emerged from, she says, her own life on the mid-Atlantic island.
