A new lounge with British flair opens at LAX

JUST AHEAD OF its opening in late March, I had the opportunity to preview the new Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at LAX - the sixth addition to the airline's lounge portfolio.

What's it like?

Taking over the former Etihad lounge, the Clubhouse celebrates the reputation and businesses associated with Los Angeles, with a focus on health and wellness along with elements from the entertainment industry. Like other venues in the area, the Clubhouse aims to inspire a bit of envy - its interiors are visible to passers-by through a glass wall. Virgin's design manager, Lara Fleat, described it as "a sneak peek for those walking by, so you really get that sense of FOMO." The cheerful and contemporary lounge space offers whimsical and playful multi-sensory experiences, encouraging guests to unwind and relax before their flights.
