Why do we have a growing and seemingly unstoppable love for lo-fi tech? While it's customary to associate technology with the appeal of the new, the better, the higher resolution, faster processing, more intelligent and more sophisticated, there's a burgeoning branch of tech that's the opposite. It celebrates quirky, often more basic technologies, and revels in their idiosyncrasies.
