The original 1990s Twingo had a cult following; this re-imagined all-electric car will get the same well-deserved treatment, as it's just as delicious as Renault's reboots of the 4 and 5 models. And this compact city slicker with four doors and a hatchback will start at under £20k.

Any design highlights?

Renault's designers are on fire at the moment and the new Twingo is packed with clever touches. The front and rear lights are fab, especially at the back where there's a neat little aerodynamic fin on each side. Plastic bumper trims are handy for folks who like to park by ear, while the vents on the non-lifting bonnet include one that unscrews for topping up the windscreen washer fluid.
