This big meeting room solution offers great video quality, outstanding audio output and slick setup
-
Businesses that want to go large with their videoconferencing (VC) will love Biamp's mighty Parlé VBC 2500a. Aimed at small to medium-sized meeting rooms, this 940cm long bar is endowed with a lot of the technology Biamp has developed over its 48 years in the professional audio-visual market.
Front and centre is a 12MP 4K UHD camera that delivers a 2160p resolution at 30fps and a wide 120-degree diagonal field of view (FoV). It teams up these attributes with digital pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) functions and auto-framing for speaker tracking, with this latest model adding an extra 3.5mm audio port for discrete assistive listening systems (ALS) output.
A standout feature is its beamforming array, as the VBC 2500a employs a highly accurate tracking array using 27 microphone elements. Sound output is another winner thanks to the pair of 20W 60mm speakers in sealed enclosures with passive radiators to improve bass, and the VBC 2500a uses active distortion compensation to deliver a flat response.
