CREATING A CHAMPION

1 Hytale has a surprisingly robust character creator, in which you can customize your character's face and outfit piece by piece. If you've bought either of the higher-tier packages of Hytale, this is also where you'll find your fancy, exclusive fits.

TWEAK WORLD SETTINGS

2 Sometimes, you're not in the mood for an intense survival experience. Luckily, you can change everything from the day-night cycle speed, whether PvP is enabled, remove or reduce the inventory loss on death, and even turn off fall damage in the world settings.

THE FORGOTTEN TEMPLE

3 The first thing you should do is visit the Forgotten Temple, marked with a swirling portal icon on your map. There are multiple across the world, but usually one is by the spawn point. Going here unlocks Memories, which is basically a codex, so it's best to grab it early.
