As if coop climbing simulator Peak needed more ways to be so stressful, the Mesa update is here to make you really reevaluate your decision to play. The new landscape isn’t the only thing you'll have to master the art of. Between tornados and sand dunes, the Mesa also tucks away a ton of secrets designed to make your life a lot harder.

This update slots a brand-new, desert biome to navigate in place of the Alpine. In the first week following its launch it replaced the Alpine environment entirely, giving players plenty of time to get to grips with what challenges it poses. But, now the dust has settled (literally), there’s now a random chance it'll pop up each day. If you're struggling to scale the icy cliffs, this could be a blessing. But, if you don’t know what to expect, stumbling across this sandy landscape for the first time can quickly bring your climb to an end.
