AMADA rewrites sheet metal productivity with 9kW LBC fibre laser and laser welding automation

How is AMADA optimizing fiber laser cutting performance in Indian fabrication shops, especially for thick plate processing and mixed-material requirements?

We have further upgraded our patented LBC technology by launching a 9 kW fibre laser that outperforms material processing across a range of thicknesses and types, including both ferrous and nonferrous materials in a sheet metal shop.

LBC stands for Locus Beam Control technology. This is the world's first technology that enables free control of the laser beam trajectory. Various beam trajectories can be selected for specific applications and combined with a high-brightness oscillator. 4kW, 6kW and 9kW have achieved best-in-class performance by maximising the capabilities.

The other advantages of our LBC technology are a high-quality beam generated by a single-module, high-brightness oscillator; it controls the beam locus “freely” and cuts with an optimal trajectory pattern for the material. Our newly developed NC equipment, AMNC 4ie, is based on the concepts of four “E”s - Easy, Efficiency, Environmental, and Evolution. It supports levelling and a stable work process without stopping the machine, and its high-efficiency oscillator also reduces electricity costs. Maintenance costs are also minimised.
