PHP2.1-B IN GOVERNMENT FUNDING MOBILIZED FOR PH STARTUPS

The Innovative Startup Act (ISA) Steering Committee has mobilized PHP2.1 billion in government funding to support the Philippine startup ecosystem, marking a strong kickoff to Philippine Startup Week (PHSW) 2025 on November 11.

The funding forms part of the committee’s new “ISA 2030 Vision,” which aims to build a mature startup ecosystem capable of producing four Philippine unicorns and attracting USD10 billion in investments over the next five years.

DOST Undersecretary for Research and Development and outgoing ISA Chairperson Dr. Leah J. Buendia presented the agency’s Key Accomplishment Report, highlighting support extended to 212 startups and the incubation of 2,233 more through a growing network of 158 Technology Business Incubators and Innovation Hubs nationwide.
