1 GREEN TIGER'S HYBRID SOLUTION FOR TWO-WHEELERS: EV AND PETROL!

Founded by Ashish Dokania in September 2020 and operational since 2021, Green Tiger Mobility is a private limited company with a dual focus: retrofitting petrol-powered two-wheelers into electric or hybrid vehicles, and designing and supplying power electronics such as vehicle control units, battery management systems (BMS), state of charge meters, and IoT devices.

Ashish explains that Green Tiger Mobility offers three main retrofit solutions. The first is a bi-mode hybrid system, which combines both petrol and electric powertrains. Users can switch between the two at the press of a button, providing enhanced flexibility and reliability. Green Tiger highlights this as a unique innovation, supported by six approved patents in India and one pending in the United States, positioning the company as the first in the world to introduce such a technology.

The company’s patents cover a range of proprietary technologies, including dual-throttle systems, integrated wire harnesses for dual powertrains, motor systems for geared vehicles, cloud-based remote locking, and switching mechanisms between electric and petrol modes. These innovations are key to maintaining a competitive edge and safeguarding intellectual property.

The second solution enables full electric conversion of a petrol vehicle using a portable battery that charges easily at home via a standard 5-amp socket. The third, designed for commercial riders who cover 100-150 kilometres daily, uses a swappable battery system. This solution is offered in partnership with Indofast (a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Sun Mobility) and Battery Smart.
