Vibe coding is a new way of building software using artificial intelligence tools.

Instead of writing every line of code manually, developers describe what they want in simple language, and AI systems generate the code. This approach has grown very fast since 2023, as powerful Al models became widely available to companies and individuals.

The idea is simple. A person gives instructions, and the AI writes the code. Sometimes the human only checks and adjusts it later. This changes the traditional role of a software developer. Coding is no longer only about typing syntax. It is becoming more about guiding, reviewing, and correcting what AI produces.

By 2025, vibe coding is no longer just a trend. Many startups and large enterprises are testing or fully using AI coding assistants in their daily work. Reports show that AI coding tools are now used in a majority of software teams in North America and parts of Europe.

How Companies Are Adopting It

Some companies have moved very quickly. Background-check company Checkr reported that by 2025, around 95% of its employees were using AI tools in some way. The company even offered stipends and special “AI days” to help nontechnical staff build internal tools using AI prompts. This means employees without deep coding skills could create small business apps.

Microsoft's AI leadership has also spoken publicly about how AI-driven coding makes building apps much easier and faster. At the same time, leaders warned that AI-generated code can create security risks and technical debt if it is not carefully reviewed. So while AI speeds things up, it does not remove the need for experienced engineers.
