White: We'll make it hard for the Lions

NIC White believes Australia have sent a timely reminder to the British & Irish Lions, declaring that the Wallabies will be ready for the challenge of the famed touring side when they arrive Down Under next year.

After a disappointing showing in this year’s Rugby Championship, winning just one of their six fixtures, Joe Schmidt’s side have bounced back in style this autumn by already claiming the scalps of both England and Wales.

Scrum-half White says confidence is high within the group and they aim to build further on that ahead of next summer’s much-anticipated tour.

“Things have gone well over here so far, but we could easily have been having a different conversation if England had got that kick at the end,” admitted White. “The Rugby Championship was tough, but I think we’re starting to move in the right direction now.

“To be honest, it kind of feels like we’re picking up from where we left off with Dave Rennie. He laid a lot of foundations and did a lot of good work and now Joe’s picked up on that. His attention to detail is what a lot of guys will talk about with him.
