Weimann takes his lead from Mitchell

NORTHAMPTON'S production line shows no sign of slowing down with Jonny Weimann the latest prospect off the conveyor belt.
Henry Pollock, another academy product, has become the most talked about player in England this season and the Saints believe they have another to watch in 19-year old scrum-half Weimann.
Released by Saracens when he was 16, Weimann has made four Premiership appearances this season having signed a senior contract at the start of the campaign.
“I do not think there is a better club to be at than Saints because of the way they give young boys opportunities to showcase themselves,” said Weimann, who was in England’s Under-20 squad in this year’s Six Nations.
“They do not wait for you to get old or anything but will put you in and give you exposure if they think you are ready. You get game time and it is a good place to be.”
Weimann has used the season to scrutinise Northampton’s England scrum-half Alex Mitchell who is off to Australia later this month with the Lions.
